Cut Wire
Novo Precision offers cut to length services for wire diameters ranging from .003″ to. 350″, strip widths up to .500″, and thicknesses down to .004″. The material type and thickness to width ratio will determine if the specific application is suited to our processing capabilities to straighten and cut wire. Cutting Wire and Tube
Novo Precision specializes in applications where the cut pieces need to be straight, the cut length tolerance is +/- .002” or greater, and a square, burr free cut is necessary. The quill-on-quill shearing concept employed results in cuts with minimal distortion that can sometimes eliminate the need for chamfering ends for leads in automated assembly operations.
The tube shearing process incorporates arbors to support the ID and OD of the tubing on both ends, which results in minimal distortion and burr free sheared ends. This can be particularly beneficial when cutting precious metal tubing since there is no waste resulting from the kerf of an abrasive wheel process. Tubing diameters to .250″ and cut lengths to .375″ can be processed.
Tantalum Markers
Cut Wire and Medical Markers
Tantalum markers for use in medical applications are produced in a wide range of diameters and lengths. Novo Precision manufactures tantalum markers from ASTM F560 in the full hard condition, and can provide a Material Certification and Certificate of Compliance for each product shipment. Passivation to specifications A967 (citric acid) and F86 (nitric acid) can also be included. Other medical markers include radiographic markers, implant markers, bone markers and radiopaque markers.
